Our Purpose
Our intent is to provide you with timely news and resources from the leading edge of human achievement. The conventional media focuses almost entirely on individual or collective human failure and dysfunction. While this represents only a tiny fraction of the human experience, it dominates the media and therefore molds our individual thoughts and collective consciousness. Since we know that "form follows thought," it is only logical that as we continue to collectively focus on failure, we will continue to create more of the same.

The world faces many challenges and it is important to acknowledge these and deal with them. The conventional press and most of the alternative press are doing an excellent job of bringing these to our attention.

Our intent is to report on events, activities, achievements, project and people who represent the highest and best of human endeavor and what we can achieve, both individually and collectively. We believe that this represents the true nature of who we are.

Our purpose is not only to inform and inspire, but to provide cross cultural models from around the world as to what people are doing to solve world problems and create new options.

Positive News completely shares these aims and objectives with those of GVN. We see the Global Village as those throughout the world who have seen a vision of a new era and are dedicated into bringing it into reality.

Global Village News & Resources
Submission Criteria

GVNR is a news & resources oriented publication. Our intent to highlight timely news from the leading edge of human achievement.

We recognize that the world faces many challenges and that it is important not to ignore these. However, we feel that the conventional press and most of the alternative press are doing an excellent job of bringing these to our attention.

However, the conventional media focuses almost entirely on individual or collective human failure and dysfunction. Since we know that "form follows thought," it is only logical that as we continue to hold a global thought form of failure, we will continue to create more of the same.

For this reason, we are looking for news articles which focus on projects, activities, discoveries, etc. which are "creating what is desired" rather than simply "fighting against what is not wanted."

We attempt to choose material which represents many different countries and many different areas of interest. We will not use material on projects which are still in the idea stage. It must already be successfully producing results.

News articles submitted for publication should include specific information as to how this project, person, situation or event is addressing a need or solving a problem. It should include the basic who, what, where, when, how and why to the extent that each is appropriate. It should also include a website where one can get more information. If a website is not available, then an email or snail mail address should be included so that readers may obtain additional information.

Since this is a news oriented publication, articles will not be considered which are editorial or opinion oriented rather factual in nature. Also articles will not be considered which are self-promoting of ones own business or are primarily advertising in nature. However, activities of a noncommercial nature which fit the criteria above will be considered, even if submitted by the person sponsoring the activity or project.

News Articles should normally range between 300 and 700 words and will likely be edited both for form and content. All suitable submissions will be placed on file and used as necessary.

We also accept website recommendations for the Global Resources Section. These should include the name of the site, the URL and a very brief description. These will be used based on need and appropriateness.

Questions To Answer Before Submitting An Article For Consideration

Is it both news and solutions oriented?
Is it factual and can those facts be verified independent of the author?
Is there a website and/or email address to refer people to?
Is it primarily self-promoting or advertising in nature?
Does it contribute to the concept of the "oneness of creation" or does it perpetuate the prevalent idea of duality; us and them, good guys and bad guys?
Submissions should be emailed to gvnr@positivenews.org.uk
