Our Purpose
Our intent is to provide you with timely news and resources from the
leading edge of human achievement. The conventional media focuses almost
entirely on individual or collective human failure and dysfunction. While this
represents only a tiny fraction of the human experience, it dominates the media
and therefore molds our individual thoughts and collective consciousness. Since
we know that "form follows thought," it is only logical that as we continue to
collectively focus on failure, we will continue to create more of the same.
The world faces many challenges and it is important to acknowledge these and
deal with them. The conventional press and most of the alternative press are
doing an excellent job of bringing these to our attention.
Our intent is to report on events, activities, achievements, project and
people who represent the highest and best of human endeavor and what we can
achieve, both individually and collectively. We believe that this represents the
true nature of who we are.
Our purpose is not only to inform and inspire, but to provide cross cultural
models from around the world as to what people are doing to solve world problems
and create new options.
Positive News completely shares these aims and objectives with those of GVN.
We see the Global Village as those throughout the world who have seen a vision
of a new era and are dedicated into bringing it into reality.

War Crimes Court Convenes Without
The USA
NETHERLANDS - King Arthur, legendary ruler of England, is
credited with many achievements, not the least of which was bringing the
unruly lords and petty kings of the day to his famous round table to
create a world based on law instead of the personal whim and fiat of
rulers. It has been an uphill battle since then. And while some might
note that on a global scale, it is two steps forward and one step back,
the optimists would point out that at least it is forward movement. That
movement took a major leap forward in early March with the inauguration
of the International Criminal Court of Justice in the Hague. More than
550 dignitaries attended the celebrations in the Knight's Hall of the
Dutch parliament. Noticeably absent was the United States Of America.

thought that this would be a positive move in creating the proper

Vatican Does U-Turn After 26,000
Request Excommunication
VATICAN - We've come a long way since the middle ages,
when the threat of excommunication made kings shudder and generals
surrender. In early March, the Vatican received the request from
more than 26,000 Catholics around the world, demanding to be
excommunicated.

Who is ready for the Big Shift? No one I know, including myself. Are
we talking about instantaneous creation? About loving everything and
everybody? Becoming creators, gods and goddesses? Are we talking
about letting go of everything that we are or ever have been? Until
we have mastered these ideas / lessons, are we ready for anything
else? Are we stuck on our ideas -- our favorites that we can’t move
beyond. It’s easy to see that we have work to do.

Dear Michael,
Thank you very much for the editorial in issue #66 by Sister Joan
Chittister. It was as if it came from my own mind. It is good in
this time to read such articles. Especially for me, since i live in
a very hawkish, war-minded community. I can't engage in any type of
conversation re: WMD, war in Iraq, or comments on GW Bush. Reading
your publication helps a lot; and keeps me hope-full.
