Our Purpose
Our intent is to provide you with timely news and resources from the
leading edge of human achievement. The conventional media focuses almost
entirely on individual or collective human failure and dysfunction. While this
represents only a tiny fraction of the human experience, it dominates the media
and therefore molds our individual thoughts and collective consciousness. Since
we know that "form follows thought," it is only logical that as we continue to
collectively focus on failure, we will continue to create more of the same.
The world faces many challenges and it is important to acknowledge these and
deal with them. The conventional press and most of the alternative press are
doing an excellent job of bringing these to our attention.
Our intent is to report on events, activities, achievements, project and
people who represent the highest and best of human endeavor and what we can
achieve, both individually and collectively. We believe that this represents the
true nature of who we are.
Our purpose is not only to inform and inspire, but to provide cross cultural
models from around the world as to what people are doing to solve world problems
and create new options.
Positive News completely shares these aims and objectives with those of GVN.
We see the Global Village as those throughout the world who have seen a vision
of a new era and are dedicated into bringing it into reality.

global situation could have changed from what it is now by the time you read this. I hope it will have changed in a positive way and that peaceful solutions will
be in progress. What is becoming clear is that we need positive leadership that can respond to conflict in constructive ways to build peace. We also need leaders
that can understand the relationship between the economy and the environment...

What is the emerging spirituality revolution?
This is the question being posed at a conference organised by the Wrekin Trust in November.
The conference will focus on spirituality that helps create a more positive future for the world. David Tacey, a keynote presenter at the conference and author of the
widely-acclaimed book The Spirituality Revolution: the emergence of contemporary spirituality, describes it as “A spontaneous movement in society, a new interest in
the reality of spirit and its healing effects on life, health, community and well-being”.

Prepare for Peace
July 20, 2006
Dennis Kucinich speaking from the Floor of the House link to this entry in the Congressional Record
"Mr. Speaker, how is it that even with the constant moral and financial support of our Nation, our friend and ally, Israel, is still not safe and
secure. If we insist upon the security and survival of Israel, and we must, then we must also insist upon the security and survival of the Palestinians and the
Lebanese.
